Sunday Night and this is all we've got going on

I have moved several times in my life. I even moved twice in 2004, but I have never had a move like this one. I am still recovering from it. Hubby and I are both exhausted. He is actually asleep on the couch right now. Sundays are mentally and physically very draining for him. There is a TV show ("Corner Gas") that comes on at 10:30 and we want to watch it together. He was too tired to stay awake, so we agreed that he could take a nap while I worked on the computer for a few minutes.

By the way, if you grew up in a small town and haven't seen Corner Gas yet, you are really missing out. It is a Canadian show and it airs on WGN (the Chicago Station) at 11PM Sunday thru Thursday Central time. It actually airs at midnight Monday thru Friday Eastern time and that is very hard for us to translate to our time zone. I know that we don't get an episode Friday nights, the Saturday night episode is at 1:20 AM Sunday morning, and we get a bonus 10:30PM episode on Sunday nights. The show may not have widespread appeal, but we love it. We recommended it to some of our less rural friends (yes, Pigtails and Pacifiers, that means you) and they didn't enjoy it. I don't know if it is because they are 10 years younger or just grew up in a place where they could actually make unscheduled trips to Wal-mart.

My unpacking goal is 4 or 5 boxes or tasks each day. So far I am on track. Most of the kitchen is done, but the rest of the house is a wreck. III is managing pretty well. He unpacks toys and keeps them in a very neat pile. Apparently this is Rosy's natural habitat. She unpacks boxes halfway, turns them on their sides, covers the entire floor of her bedroom, stashes her dirty clothes in the debris and is perfectly happy. I don't think it upsets her at all to live in complete chaos. Twinkle is also loving it. She climbs from box to box to box. This house is much more open and she is able to monitor everybody all the time. She is doing her "Gladys Cravitz" (the nosy neighbor from Bewitched) impersonation as she checks out the neighbors.

Well, the show is on so it's date time. Wish us luck - at 7 months pregnant this is a pretty exciting date.

I think the reason you think Corner Gas is so funny is because you are DELIRIOUS from the lack of sleep at such a late hour. Watch it in the daytime and see if its as funny as you think. If you do then I guess living in the big city of Molino has socially gotten in the way of the humor from Corner Gas. BTW: How's the new house?
