We were late with our Grandparents' Day card, so we videotaped it. This is the Grandparents' Day Limerick. We are studing limericks in poetry right now, so we chose this form. Don't you wonder what an onomatopoeia poem about Grandfathers would sound like?!?!?!
Grandparents' Day came and went
With no card from us being sent
So if you don't mind
We'd like to rewind
And do it again like we meant
Dearest Gram Sam and Papa Deet
You're cool, you're fun, you're sweet
(Can you tell we're studying limericks?
It's one of Mommy's home school gimmicks.)
No matter what, you guys are a treat.
